Salvatore Grasso, is a long time resident of Delaware County Pennsylvania. He writes thrillers that embrace the criminal mind with twisted plots sparked by real life characters inhabiting a vivid literary atmosphere. The Author’s goal is to complete fifteen manuscripts and publish all of them. He is currently completing more than one manuscript each year.
His background is in business operations and finance. He has held senior operations and finance positions throughout his career in the cable industry, cellular telephone industry and in the venture capital world. The plots for his manuscripts are drawn from real world experiences. His writings are centered in the Greater Philadelphia area.
His writing exhibits a flare for the dramatic. Grasso’s characters are witty, sarcastic and each one carries an edgy temperament that enhances their personality and makes them integral to the flavor of the story. The Author’s protagonists and antagonists represent interesting cross-sections of various genders and nationalities. He has the innate ability to capture the reader’s attention and hold it throughout the book, encouraging the reader to enjoy the ebb and flow of the tension between the various characters that carry the action throughout each story.
“Writing is my drug of choice. It’s not a panacea. I feel an obligation to my characters to enable their lives to be rich and vivid. My main characters are Jimmy Duca, an edgy grizzled veteran of the FBI. Jimmy’s partner, Danny Micheaux hails from Louisiana. Danny was blessed, or to see it from Danny’s perspective – cursed, with supernatural powers that he utilizes to solve cases for the Bureau. Danny is the counterbalance to his partner’s hard nosed approach to life. Jimmy Duca’s wife, Lydia Colon-Duca is a Federal prosecutor. She is diminutive but a brilliant legal mind. Danny Micheaux struggles with an on again off again amorous relationship with Jennifer Amos. Jennifer is quietly strong. She is the emotional support for Danny as he confronts the demons in his life. Danny’s promising football career was destroyed when he blew out his knee in a pivotal high school game. He turned to law enforcement at the behest of his family, who feared Danny would give up on life when his football career ended.
